BLOOMFIELD HILLS - McKenzie Swanson returned to form after battling an early season injury to lead Marian in their final home contest over Detroit Country Day (7-6), 43-28 Monday Night.
Sarah Sylvester was a healthy scratch, allowing Swanson to take advantage of extended minutes, scoring 18 points in the winning effort.
Elle Ervin also added ten as the Mustangs (13-6) outpaced a smaller and younger Yellowjackets squad.
Jaidyn Elam led Country Day with 11 points.
As the CHSL Champions, Marian will next play in the Operation Friendship game against either Detroit Mumford or Detroit Renaissance of the Detroit Public School League. The PSL Championship is being played this evening at Oakland University.
Originally scheduled for Friday, Feb. 25, the game will now be played on Thursday, February 24. Other details are yet to be determined.
